Excursion From Fes to Volublis, Moulay Idriss zerhoun & Meknes
Post breakfast, join your driver and embark on an extremely eventful excursion since it gathers between beauty, mystery and authenticity all together.
Our first destination will be the scenic Volubilis, a heap of ruins that attribute to the Roman Empire, date back to the 3rd century B.C.
This archeological site is considered a UNESCO World Heritage.
Later on, we will drive to the city of Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, one the most well known spiritual centers in Morocco, the city holds a special place in the heart of the Moroccan people, it is the city where Moulay Idriss I arrived, bringing with him religion of Islam.
After touring Moulay Idriss city, we will proceed to Meknes, the Moroccan Versaille.
The city was the capital under the reign of Moulay Ismail, before it was relocated to Marrakesh, and now is considered a UNESCO World Heritage site boasting a number of important ancient monuments including the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, the Bou Inania Madrasa, and the Bab Berdieyinne Mosque.
As it is well renowned by its several huge gates chiefly, the Bab Al Mansour and Bab Khmiss, in addition to many other attractions that you will enjoy here before turning back to Fes city.
